Language Arts:  We finished reading chapter 1 and started chapter 2.  We also worked on the character worksheet for chapter 1.  The character worksheet is due at the beginning of class tomorrow if you did not hand it in yet.

Teen Leadership:  We worked on the questions for chapters 15-16, and we did the reading and sticky notes for chapters 17-18.  The questions for 15-16 and the sticky notes for 17-18 should be done by the time you get to class tomorrow.

Language Arts:  We read most of the first chapter of The Outsiders today.  We’ll finish chapter 1, start chapter 2 and do a character worksheet in class tomorrow.  No homework.

Teen Leadership:  Today we did some journaling about “I POSSESS” skills and read chapters 15-16.  The reading and sticky notes for chapters 15-16 should be finished as homework if you didn’t finish in class.

Language Arts:  We were in the computer lab today typing final copies of short stories.  These are due at the beginning of class tomorrow except for my 2nd hour class.  2nd hour stories are due by the beginning of class Wednesday due to some technology issues during class today.

Teen Leadership:  Reading and sticky note forms for chapters 11-12 of The Hunger Games are due at the beginning of class tomorrow.

LA:  We started writing our own short stories in class today.  They are due at the end of class tomorrow (Friday).

Teen Leadership:  We finished preparing our speeches and started presenting them in class today.  The topic is “A Memorable Experience” and the minimum time requirement in 1 1/2  minutes.

Language Arts:  We worked on our time capsule activity in class today.  If you did not finish in class, you may finish it as homework and hand it in at the beginning of class tomorrow.

Teen Leadership:  No homework.  We worked on our social contract today and started the Gallery Walk activity.  We will finish up the Gallery Walk activity in class tomorrow.

LA:  Today was our last day of regular classes.  We finished presenting commercials.  Tomorrow we have our Awards Assembly in the morning followed by a picnic at Gun Lake.  Thursday is our Cedar Point trip, and Friday is our official last day of school.

Teen Leadership:  We finished presentations and handed in books today.  If you didn’t have your book with you today, please get it to me as soon as possible tomorrow or Friday.

LA:  Today we started presenting commercials.  Today was also the last day research projects and extra credit assignments could be handed in for credit.

Teen Leadership:  We continued presentations today.  Anyone who hasn’t presented yet must do so tomorrow as tomorrow is our final day of class due to the special activities scheduled later in the week.

LA:  Today was the last day to work on preparing commercials.  Commercials need to be ready to share with the class Monday.  Also, reminders that Monday will be the final day you can turn in research projects for credit and the last day to hand in the extra credit writing activity.

Teen Leadership:  ”I POSSESS” project presentations began today.  We will continue with these presentations Monday and Tuesday next week.  All work must be in by the end of the day next Tuesday to receive credit.

LA:  Today was a work day on our commercial projects.  Commercials should be ready to present to the class Monday.  Also, if your research packet has not been handed in yet, Monday is the final day it can turned in for credit.  Extra credit writing assignments are also due Monday.

Teen Leadership:  Today was our last work day on “I POSSESS” projects.  They should be ready to present tomorrow.  Also, the chapter 25-27 notes and questions were due today.

LA:  Today was our last day for research presentations.  After today we will be working on the commercials for our advertising unit.  Commercials should be finished and ready to present next Monday, June 6.

Teen Leadership:  The notes and questions for chapters 23 and 24 were due today.  We also worked on projects in the computer lab.  Projects should be finished and ready to present by this Friday, June 3.
